Where has summer gone??

Now that summer is nearly over I think it is time to post a few pictures. June went by so fast, then July raced on by and now August is well underway. The first bunch of pictures is from the 4th of July when a bunch of us gathered out at the ranch for a fun day. We dug for "treasure" at the old homestead, shot praire dogs, hiked into the rocks (where the guys killed a rattlesnake) and had a steak feed and fireworks at the end of the day. I am not sure how blogger is going to let me lay this out so I will just tell you what the pictures are.

(1)Brooklyn, Aunt Vicky and Aunt Sharon trying to keep cool. (2)Papa Gary, Jocelyn, Brooklyn and Craig just relaxing. (3)Brooklyn getting to hold sister Hadley. (4)Ron T., Ron J. and Dave C. cooking the steaks. (5)"THE STEAKS" (6) some of our "treasures". (7) Prairedog hunting (8) Rock climbing (9) nighfall and a storm that caused some spectacular natural fireworks.

On the 5th of July we met Norm and Cindy at the big lake for the day. The guys went fishing and us girls just hung out at the campground, did a little walking and picture taking and cooked up the fish the guys caught. Just a couple of pictures from that day.

HodgePodge of Pictures from June

June started with Scott, Krista and the girls coming to visit and Scott staying to go to school taking summer masters courses. Ron and Vicky showed up Monday hoping to see John before he passed away but he died on Sunday. Tom, Chet and Deb got here on Wednesday morning to be here for the funeral which was on Friday. Kara and Evan came Friday morning to be here for the funeral and left on Saturday as did Deb, Tom and Chet. Krista and the girls only planned to stay until Tuesday but also stayed until after the funeral and they left on Friday afternoon. It was a wild time around here with so many people but was good to see all the relatives and good for the cousins to get together. Too bad it only happens when there is a funeral.

Krista and the girls made it to Chug on Friday afternoon (13th) and Jenny and her two kids were there too. It was nice having time with them again and good for Krista and Jenny to realize what I went through having kids to condend with in the sleeping quarters at convention.

I took a lot more pictures but these will give an idea of all that took place so far this month.

I am having a terrible time getting the captions to line up with the pictures so hopefully you have it all figured out. We are having a nasty thunder storm with lots of lightening and thunder so I better get this posted and just down the computer.
